Diseases In Poultry

DISEASES IN POULTRY

If you are a poultry owner, you should know the diseases of chickens (poultry such as geese, ducks, caged birds etc.) very well. However, there is a voice in every head and everyone makes a diagnosis according to their own head and recommend treatment. We even have difficulties in administering medication and treatment without performing autopsy internal examination or seeing it. The diagnosis and treatment of poultry diseases requires expertise. In addition, it endangers the public health by recommending and using antibiotics as soon as possible.

CLEANING + CAREFUL + VACCINE

These three are indispensable for those who start this business. Because every disease manifests itself with loss and low productivity. In this article, I would like to raise some awareness of our poultry and cage animal owners.

We examine poultry diseases in two groups:

1. INFECTIOUS DISEASES DUE TO MICRO ORGANISMS:

When they find a suitable environment for them, they spread quickly and easily, causing epidemics and causing great economic losses.

We examine them in 4 groups.

1.BACTERIAL DISEASES:

WINGED TYPHOID: They are the infections caused by the Salmonella group.

PULLORUM DİSEASE: It is the agent of Salmonella Pullorum. It is mostly seen in chicks. Green diarrhea, fever, drooping of the wings, swollen feathers, drinking too much water, wilting in combs, decreased yield, loss of appetite, and death.

FOWL TYPHOIT (Chicken Typhoid): It is the agent of Salmonella Pullorum. Yellow, green diarrhea, bruising of combs and beards, raised feathers, drinking too much water, fever and death.

PARATYPHOİD İNFECTİON (Para Tifo): Its agents are Salmonella Typhimurium and Salmonnella Derby. Fondness, limp, tremors, diarrhea, loss of appetite, vim drop, and death.

KOLIBACILLOSIS (Coli Infections): The factor is Esheria Colin. Edema in the leg joints, drinking too much water, bruising in the comb and beard, stagnation, loss of appetite, green diarrhea.

FOW CHOLERA (Chicken Typhoid): Pastorella Multocida is the cause. Runny nose, balance disorder, edema in leg joints - combs - joints, tremors, decreased efficiency, loss of appetite

INFECTIOUS CORYZA : Its agent is Heamophilus Paragallinarum. Swelling of the face, diarrhea, inflammation of the eyes, cough, difficulty breathing, edema in the beard, weakness

CRD (Chronic Respiratory System Infection): Its agent is M. Galisepticum. Wheezing, difficulty in breathing, discharge, loss of efficiency, weakening and death.

MYYCOPLASMA SYNOVİAE (Infectious Synovitis): Stagnation, lameness, edema in the leg and wing joints

STAPHYLOCOCCOSİS (Staphylococcal Infections): Its agent is Staphylococus Aureus. Stagnation and lameness are seen.

ARTRITIS, SNOVIDIS, SPONDILITIS ŞEKLİ: Fever, edema and inflammation in tendons and leg joints,

TABAN VE STERNUM SPONDILITIS ŞEKLİ: Wounds in the soles of the feet and gangrene in the skin of the feet, gangrene in the skin of the wings, abscess in the sternum.

STRETTOCOCCOSIS (Streptococcal Infections): Its effect is Streptococcus Faecalis and Streptococcus Zooepidemicus. Drowsiness, combs - pallor of beards, blood on head area, green stool, misshapen egg, fever, anorexia, yellowish mouth discharge.

LISTERIOZIS: Etkeni Listeriosiz monocytogenes'dir. Fondness, torticollis, diarrhea

NECROTIC ENTERITIS: Its agent is Colostidium Perfringens type C. Dark and bloody stools, weakness and loss of appetite.

ULCERATIVE ENTERITIS: Its agent is Colostridium Colinum. Weakness, diarrhea, fluff and death

2. VIRAL DISEASES:

NEWCASTLE  (The Lying Plague): It is caused by the Newcastle virus. Fast, wheezing, difficult breathing, bruising in comb and beard, green and bloody diarrhea, paralysis of wings and legs, decrease in efficiency

AVIAN INFLUENZA (Plague): Its agent is Influenza A virus. Inflammation and edema in the eyes, beards and combs, bruising in the crests, edema in the glottis, nasal discharge, diarrhea, balance disorder, decreased efficiency, weakness, loss of appetite

INFECTIOUS BRONCHITIS (Infectious Bronchitis): The causative agent is the virus on its name. Unshelled or lumpy eggs, egg white watery, decrease in yield, nasal discharge, watery eyes, swelling of the face, stagnation,

AVIAN ENCEPHALOMIYELITIS EPİDEMIC TREMOR:  It is caused by Avian Encephalomyelitis. Cataracts in the eyes, imbalance, tremor, decreased efficiency

INFECTIOUS BURSAL DISEASE ( Gumbaro IBD.): Its causative agent is the infectious Bursal Diseas virus. Green diarrhea, loss of appetite, chills, drinking too much water, fever, loss of appetite, decreased productivity.

MALABSORPTION SYNDROMU (Helicopter Disease, Reovirus Infections): It is an RNA virus infection. Rickets, discoloration and ossification in the beak, diarrhea, hair inversion, delayed hair growth, discoloration and ossification in the feet, weakening, lameness, edema in the leg joints

FOWL-POX (Fowl-pox and Diphtheria): Its agent is Borreliota Avium in Chickens, Borreliota meleagridis in Turkeys and Borreliota Columbae in Pigeons. Fowl-pox lesions "head, beak, around eyes, crest, beard, skin"; stuffy nose, closed eyes
